Ellen Trachman, Director

Ellen is an attorney who left corporate law to make a more personal difference in people’s lives. She founded Trachman Law Center, LLC and Colorado Surrogacy and loves representing and supporting men and women who are building their families through assisted reproductive technology. She can’t imagine more rewarding, meaningful and enjoyable work.

Ellen is affiliated with several professional associations devoted to family formation and was named Entrepreneurial Woman of the Year in 2015 by the Denver Gay & Lesbian Chamber of Commerce and Legal Program Volunteer of the Year in 2017 by the GLBT Community Center of Colorado. Originally from northern New Mexico, Ellen did her undergraduate studies at the University of California, Berkeley and earned her law degree from Emory University in Atlanta.

Jennifer White, Director

Jennifer loves helping people realize their dream of becoming parents and is honored to play a role in this intimate and life-enhancing journey. She finds the work deeply rewarding. After earning a bachelor’s degree in Justice and Public Safety from Auburn University Montgomery, Jennifer spent 15 years as a paralegal. She’s also worked in the insurance and medical fields, all to say she feels uniquely qualified to help intended parents and their surrogate sort through any bumps in the road.

Thanks to a husband in the Air Force, Jennifer has lived in every region of the country as well as Germany and England—and she’s been to every state in the U.S., with the exception of Alaska. She’s the proud mom of one daughter and two fur-babies. With several half-marathons under her belt, she’s keen to fulfill a major life goal and run the full 26.2 miles. When you get the chance, ask Jennifer about the playground in Amersham, England, named after her.

Barrett Lucero, Case Manager of Colorado Surrogacy

Barrett Lucero, Case Manager

Barrett is thrilled to participate in the adventure of creating families through surrogacy. Her professional background includes project management and administrative roles in affordable housing and the nonprofit sector. Barrett’s personal struggle with infertility issues has given her great compassion and sensitivity for what the journey to have a family can entail. She has two sons and a beleaguered cat and is a huge fan of babies and board games.

Dr. Dana Ambler, Consulting Physician

Dana Ambler, DO is a physician who specializes in reproductive endocrinology and infertility.  She is dual board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology as well as in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. 

She grew up in New Jersey and earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Ursinus College. She received her medical degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at Wayne Sate University, part of the prestigious Detroit Medical Center.  She earned her postgraduate fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Geisinger Medical Center. In addition, Dr Ambler holds a Masters Degree in Biomedical Sciences and Cellular Pathology from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. 

Dr Ambler has made numerous presentations at conferences across the country and has written multiple publications on fertility treatment options, for which she has received several honors.  Dr Ambler is highly skilled in the latest fertility techniques and third-party reproduction.  She is currently the director of third-party reproduction at Denver Fertility/Albrecht Women’s Care.

Dr Ambler is affiliated with several professional organizations that revolve around third-party reproduction and is excited to be a part of Colorado Surrogacy.  She is committed to providing only the best possible care to couples in a compassionate and candid approach, noting that her professional standard is to treat every patient like family. 

Dr Ambler, her husband (also a physician!), and her two sons love exploring Colorado and can usually be found outside in the Colorado sun.v

Nikki Wahlberg, Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Nikki is excited to be working with surrogates as they go through this extraordinary journey. She provides therapy to children and families at her private practice in Colorado Springs, striving to empower each individual to become the best “me” they can be. Nikki is honored to extend that same level of empowerment and support to the women who choose to give the gift of a child to intended parents who wait with arms wide open. Nikki has two children and loves playing in Colorado’s great outdoors.

Dr. Alison Wilson, Reproductive Health Counselor

One of only a handful of mental health specialists in the Denver area who’s trained in reproductive health counseling, Alison is pleased to be affiliated with Colorado Surrogacy. Through her close working relationships with area fertility clinics, she has provided guidance and support to hundreds of individuals and couples as they explore all the ways to build a family. Dr. Wilson is excited to be assisting Colorado Surrogacy with their surrogate screening and selection process, a critical component in creating a successful surrogacy program. Dr. Wilson is a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine and Resolve (a national infertility organization). Born and raised in Austin, Texas, Alison and her family enjoy living in Colorado.
