Sarah Branion & Marsha Bucanek
Certified Labor Doula & Baby Sleep Coach
Denver Surrogacy & IVF Doulas
Who do you work with
“Families that are growing through surrogacy and IVF.”
What do you do for them
“Marsha Bucanek and Sarah Branion offer specialized labor & birth doula support, IVF companion support, childbirth education, and baby & toddler sleep coaching.”
Why do you do what you do, particularly as it relates to surrogacy/growing families?
“As two current gestational carriers and labor doulas, we have a deeply personal understanding of the IVF and surrogacy process. We want families to feel informed, emotionally supported and physically assisted from day one of their surrogacy or IVF journey.”
What is your favorite part of your job?
“We love watching individuals become parents. From the moment of intending to have children, families are making parenting decisions and forming the foundation of love and security for their children. We also enjoy watching women finding more strength than they previously thought they had, whether it’s in labor or during an IVF process. Watching women in fierce moments brings us pride and joy and teaches us something new each time. It’s powerful to observe.”
What is your favorite memory or story from working at your job?
Sarah: "My favorite memory was watching an Intended Family during an ultrasound. They were introducing the baby, carried by a gestational surrogate, to her big brother. He was so excited and curious. It’s about making families, parents and siblings."
Marsha: "My favorite memory has to be to be sharing space with an Intended Mother, as her embryo was being transferred to her surrogate. So many emotions of joy, hope and excitement to be seen. Absolutely amazing to be a part of that day.”
How do people get in touch with you/start working with you?
“We often start with an intake form online and set up in-person meetings."
